The Rev. Dr. John J. Sass Plaza
Located at 263 W. 152nd Street and
267 W. West 152nd Street this
housing project houses 94 units and
is financed through the N.Y.S.
Housing Finance Agency (HFA) and
the NYC Department of Housing
Preservation & Development (HPD).
Fifty-one percent of these units have
been allotted for “eligible homeless.”

This project was fully accomplished
while Rev. Sass was alive, and he was
able to participate in the ground
breaking and final dedication of the
complex. He was extremely proud of
the fact that his accomplishments led
to this complex being named for him.
